Clearly this is what the American people want. But ultfrounateny, American government no longer represents the people, as the Founding Fathers intended. The Supreme Court, beginning in the 1880s, undermined the Founding Fathers by giving the right to control American government to corporations instead. We see that new reality reflected in incidents as brazen as the recent public apology to BP by Congressman Barton of Texas. Only a change in the composition of the Supreme Court or a constitutional amendment can set things right.
